Electrical and electronics circuit symbols is a topic that is close to my heart. Why is this topic close to my heart? Don’t worry I am not going to keep you in suspense. From the time I have been doing electrical installations to date, if there is one thing that I have learned, it’s engineering communications.
In almost all electrical and electronics installations,schematic drawings and plans,are use to communicate to the installer how the circuit works.
An electrical plan or schematic consists of different circuit components or symbols. These circuit components are represented as symbols. Because we live in a global village. Circuit symbols are drawn to represent a component. And that symbol is interpreted by engineers and technicians.
All in all what I am saying to you is that once you know how to interpret electrical schematic and plans, you will find it easy to install electrical and electronics equipment.
I think it is good for more to mention here, that depending on the industry that you are operating from. You will use more or less of some circuit symbols. The aim of writing, this post on electrical and electronics circuit symbols, is to highlight some symbols that are commonly used.
