Electrical and electronics circuit symbols are a topic that is close to my heart. Why is this topic close to my heart? Don’t worry I am not going to keep you in suspense. From the time I have been doing electrical installations to date, if there is one thing that I have learned, it’s engineering communications.

In almost all electrical and electronics installations, electric schematic symbols, drawings and plans, are used to communicate to the installer how the circuit works.
An electrical plan or electrical schematic drawing, consists of different circuits, electrical component symbols. These electronics circuit components are represented as symbols. Because we live in a global village.
Circuit symbols are drawn to represent a component. And that symbol is interpreted by engineers and technicians.
All in all what I am saying to you is that once you know how to read and interpret electrical schematics symbols and plans, you will find it easy to install electrical and electronics equipment.
I think it is good for me to mention here, depending on the industry that you are operating from. You will use more or less some circuit symbols. The aim of writing, this post on electrical and electronics circuit symbols, is to highlight some symbols that are commonly used.
What role does electrical and electronics circuit symbol play in design?
Firstly, it is important to state that an electrical schematic drawing or plan, is a graphical representation of an electrical or electronics, assembly or installation. Showing the functionality and connectivity between different electrical components.
Electrical and electronics circuit symbols are the language that is used to communicate in engineering. The first role that these circuit symbols play is to ease communication and reduce language barriers due to geographical location.
Schematic drawings, come in various ranges and sizes, What do I mean? Drawings can represent both simple and complex assemblies or installations. What are some of the examples of electrical and electronics schematics?
Simple schematics can be printed on paper that is glued to the back of the cooker or a circuit diagram of an LED downlight. Complex schematics can be a printed circuit board of Hi-Fi equipment or power distribution of a manufacturing plant.
Electrical and electronics drawings, help technicians and craftsmen to diagnose or make troubleshooting easy.
There are many examples that I can give of both simple and complex electrical schematics. For the intended purpose of this post, this is enough. Below, I will show you various electrical and electronics circuit symbols.
You can also read a book by Stan Gibilisco here. Showing you how to read and understand electrical and electronics schematics both simple and complex.

An outstanding share! I’ve just forᴡarded this onto а coworкer who had been doing a
little rеsearcһ on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast becaսse I discovеred it for
him… loⅼ. So let me reword this…. Thank
YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending timе to dіscuss this matter heгe on your blog.
